Is it legal to charge for a "Charge for Boiler Service" on top of existing water charge?
Q. Lanlord charging tennant new utility charge for a Boiler Fee? Is the legal in Bay Area CA? No meter here. We have lived here for three years without this charge and today we received a posting on my front door stating that this new charge would be added to our water bill. We have no individual meters for water in any of these buildings within the complex and all water charges are "Based on occupancy and square footage" I asked when I signed my lease if there was a meter that I could check for accuracy, and the lady I signed with had no information. "It is just a standard charge." is all she could tell me and that it would only cost around 50 dollars each month. I expressed my concern that I was paying for somehting I… [cont.]

A. From what I know of FL law, a landlord is required to provide water and heat (not hot water, although this is the general assumption). In locations where meters are available for individual units, my tenants had to open their own water accounts with the utility dept. In locations where there is only 1 meter for a building w/ multiple residences, typically the burden of paying for the water is shared amongst all tenants as part of the rent (as opposed to a side item). A landlord can charge maintenance fees (for instance, "boiler fee"). However, if the change and increase is added within the term of your lease, you can either agree to the change, and pay the fee, or terminate the lease, w/ no termination penalties (since it wasn't… [cont.]

Why does the information "x=4" not specify a unique point in the plane?
Q. mathematical reasoning problem: must be answered in full sentences. "Why does the information "x=4" not specify a unique point in the plane? What does this say about the dimension of the plane?"
Asked by Sloopy Diggums - Mon Mar 29 16:08:30 2010 - Mathematics - 7 Answers - Comments
A. Nice copy and past job from your homework assignment. Because there are lots of points in the Cartesian plane that have an x value of 4. You have the points (4,0), (4,1), (4,2), (4,3), etc. So x=4 describes a vertical line. The dimension of the plane is 2, because you need at least 2 coordinates to describe a location.

Why "other information" part of MSDS(Material Safety Data sheet) of raw material mention like this?
Q. Most of time when we consider the MSDS (Material Safety data Sheet) of some product, we give all product information relavent to product. But finally under " others information" catagary we can see following statement "This Informations are correct & accurate according to our knowledge , But we don't take any guaranty or Responsibility regarding above information & damages regarding use of such article" So please let me know why it is mention such a way? Is there any legal matters for above?

A. well with raw materials there will always be Variables and they may not always match exactly with the Safety Sheet. It is a legal issue, basically they're saying "This is as correct as it can possibly be, but there may be some discrepancies"

The IRS refund site was listing my return as being processed. Now it has "no information" What happened?
Q. I E-filed my return on 1/22/08. It was accepted the same day and the next day my refund status was "being processed" and that I should receive my refund by Feb 5, 2008, as a direct deposit. Now the refund status website has "no information" about my return. What happened? Does that mean my return has a problem?

A. If you checked today, I believe they were having trouble with the website. You can call this number 1-800-829-1954 with your information and it should be up to date. Not to scare you, but the year before last, I received a similar message and it turns out that I had transposed a number on one of my kids SS #. I called and was able to fix the problem quickly and had my return within that week.

Why do creationist say "information" cannot be added?
Q. Have creationist heard the terms, gene duplication, frame-shift mutation, point mutation, missense mutation, inverse mutation, translocation etc. If you have, how can you say that mutations do not add new information. A gene duplication (neutral) can make a copy of a gene, then later on (it could be 70 generations later) a point mutation(a change in one base of the gene sequence, sickle cell came from a point mutation) can take place on the duplicated gene.. This results in what was once one gene coding for one protein, to two genes coding for two proteins with new properties Trichromacy color vision in Old World Monkeys, but not New World Monkeys is evidence that mutations can "add information", via gene duplication and point… [cont.]

Has anyone who filed form 8839 been told by the IRS they will be requesting "more information"?
Q. The IRS "Where's my Refund?" tool was telling us we should be expecting our refund by April 5. Today it says they will be sending us something in the mail to request more information. Has anyone else seen this message yet? Has anyone received the request in the mail for more information? Has anyone actually received their refund? I'm starting to worry that the IRS is really going to drag these refunds out.

Applied for credit card online; they need "additional information." What does this mean?
Q. I applied for a Capitol One card online, the next screen said that I'd receive something in the mail in seven to ten days. Since it didn't get approved right then, does this mean it was declined? If not, specifically what "additional information" are they going to be seeking out?
Asked by ajrobx - Thu Jul 15 00:34:42 2010 - Credit - 1 Answers - Comments
A. It can depend. Sometimes they mail you information as a means of fraud protection. Other times they need clarification on part of the information you gave them ( employer, current debts, etc). It can really depend.

Why does i Tunes continue to refill my "Information" tab in?
Q. When I put songs in i Tunes, I delete all of the information except for song name, artist, album, and genre. I delete all of the extra stuff like what year and track number, etc. But for some reason, i Tunes keeps filling those in for me when I'm not looking (very sneaky!) so when I go to put songs on my i Phone, it puts duplicates on it, and the only difference between the songs is the information field. What does it mean when Transunion shows dispute results as "New Information"?

Asked by - Sat Aug 15 13:31:00 2009 - Credit - 1 Answers - Comments
A. It means they submitted the information to the creditor which in turn answered the dispute and verified that the information was correct or they are admitting that there was something wrong and are submitting "new information" that accurately updates the account information. Just go to the above site and call Transunion for an explanation.

Why does a ".php" website ask to "Resend information" when I press the back button in my browser?
Q. On my home computer using Apache2 and php5, when I put 127.0.0.1 in the browser, and I press the back button in my browser, there is no request to "Resend Information". However when I load the .php scripts to an external server and use the site, then my browser asks to "Resend Information" when I want to go back to a .php page. What in the world is causing this? How can I change it so that it doesn't ask to resend information?

A. If all pages (code) are identical on remote and local server than the behaviour will be identical too. The page that you are trying to go "back" to on your remote server was using POST method to process some form/request, your local version may be using GET method.

Q. I am filling out an application to a summer research program and on the application it asks to "Please Type or Print All Information". but the application is in adobe format so i cannot type directly on it. does "print" it meant that I can write on it with pen?
