If Christine O'Donnell has "classified information" regarding a Chinese takeover of the US, is that legal?
Q. I don't want to bring her particular politics into this, I'm just wondering if it's at all problematic if she actually has classified info? Like Christine O'Donnell, I don't have a top secret clearance. Like Ms O'Donnell, I've never been in a job that requires a top secret clearance. So, if I somehow made it on national tv and stated that I did, in fact, have classified information, would a criminal investigation be warranted? Wouldn't the government be curious about how I came by this top secret info, where/who/how it leaked, and what other secret info might have leaked? Peachy - I'm not "digging", nor am I trying to pass any judgment on Ms. O'Donnell's statement that she is privy to classified info regarding China's plans to… [cont.]

Why "other information" part of MSDS(Material Safety Data sheet) of raw material mention like this?
Q. Most of time when we consider the MSDS (Material Safety data Sheet) of some product, we give all product information relavent to product. But finally under " others information" catagary we can see following statement "This Informations are correct & accurate according to our knowledge , But we don't take any guaranty or Responsibility regarding above information & damages regarding use of such article" So please let me know why it is mention such a way? Is there any legal matters for above?

A. well with raw materials there will always be Variables and they may not always match exactly with the Safety Sheet. It is a legal issue, basically they're saying "This is as correct as it can possibly be, but there may be some discrepancies"

why do creationists stick to the "law of conservation of information" as a problem to the theory of evolution?
Q. in science, information is loosely defined as "that which distinguishes one thing from another" and it's associated with causality (the action of one part of the system on another). So, having this in mind, it is true that information cannot be created or destroyed, but let's review what information means to science: if it is associated with causality, then the way of transmitting information between two systems or two parts of a system would be by an interaction. Interactions in physics mean forces, and if you apply a force on something, you can accelerate it, you can deform it, you can cause a chemical or nuclear reaction, you can tap potential energy... so what is information then? it's energy! information is just a form of… [cont.]

A. Your CMOS battery is gone. Without the CMOS battery, your configuration gets wiped every time you shut down. It is not a major thing. You can probably get one from Radio Shack. It looks like on over-sized watch battery on the system board of your computer. be careful not to damage the system board when you remove it and make sure you are properly grounded so you do not discharge any static electricity into the board.

Why does the information "x=4" not specify a unique point in the plane?
Q. mathematical reasoning problem: must be answered in full sentences. "Why does the information "x=4" not specify a unique point in the plane? What does this say about the dimension of the plane?"
Asked by Sloopy Diggums - Mon Mar 29 16:08:30 2010 - Mathematics - 7 Answers - Comments

A. Nice copy and past job from your homework assignment. Because there are lots of points in the Cartesian plane that have an x value of 4. You have the points (4,0), (4,1), (4,2), (4,3), etc. So x=4 describes a vertical line. The dimension of the plane is 2, because you need at least 2 coordinates to describe a location.

A. It is intended to alert you whenever there is both encrypted and non-encrypted displays on a webpage; in the event you were under the impression it was completely 'private'. It may merely be a case of some 3rd party advertising (or other "asset") that is not encrypted, and usually does not mean there is a serious problem. To help circumvent these issues in the future, make the following changes: internet explorer: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic...'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies' & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'. Firefox: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings..."> Check 'Accept Cookies from sites' [cont.]

Why do you think Ron Paul has a lot of military support in the U.S. (Ron Paul wants us out of Afghanistan and is against foreign interventionism). The ones that do are probably overly Nationalistic tools who scored a 35 on the ASVAB and barely made it thru the door.

"Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information"?
Q. I am signing all the paperwork for a new job in a research group and one of them is a "Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information", what would this be about? If it were not in legal mumbo-jumbo it may be more apparant, but it just keeps reffering to "the information" and then giving rediculously all-inclusive definitions. What information are they likely to be trying to protect? It's seperate to the usual confidentiality agreement (the gist of which is that they keep all the IP). I probably don't have any room to negotiate, and i wouldn't turn the job down based on it. I just want an idea of what i am signing, for what rules they wil expect me to follow. Seems to me that this should be an easy fix. BTW, this "Details" boxs does not have a spell checker. Yahoo does not recognize Google, that is funny and petty at the same time. Can a person "reason" effectively without "time" and "information"?
Q. I propose that reasoning and critical thinking requires time and information. Reasoning is not effective without them. As an example You're a soldier in the heat of battle. Your commanding officer issues you orders that you do not agree with. If you hesitate, by asking questions and taking the time to reason, several people will die immediately before your eyes. Therefore, you must have "faith" in your commanding officer. That is why reasoning is not effective without time and information. In these situations, "faith" is more valuable than "reason".
Asked by jou e - Sat May 9 00:33:43 2009 - Philosophy - 7 Answers - Comments

A. in some situations, like your example, you dont have any choice but to have faith. or if your about to be in a car accident, you dont have the time to think about what to do cause everything is going way to fast. you have to have faith within yourself to be able to either get out of that situation, or do something that could save someone's life. so technically, yes. a person can reason effectively without time and information. i would say its rare though. but you may look back on it and say, "i wish i did that differently."

Q. How many of us spend hours of our lives surfing the net, looking for answers to this & that. Unless it's something very simple it's near impossible to find! Is the net over-rated? Why do creationist say "information" cannot be added?
Q. Have creationist heard the terms, gene duplication, frame-shift mutation, point mutation, missense mutation, inverse mutation, translocation etc. If you have, how can you say that mutations do not add new information. A gene duplication (neutral) can make a copy of a gene, then later on (it could be 70 generations later) a point mutation(a change in one base of the gene sequence, sickle cell came from a point mutation) can take place on the duplicated gene.. This results in what was once one gene coding for one protein, to two genes coding for two proteins with new properties Trichromacy color vision in Old World Monkeys, but not New World Monkeys is evidence that mutations can "add information", via gene duplication and point… [cont.]

How do creationists define "information" in the context of evolution?
Q. Posted a few minutes ago: "Evolution (now called macro evolution) cannot be observed. It requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits, something that we've never seen." How do they define "information" in this context? Is it... * increased genetic variety in a population? We have observed it. * increased genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetically-regulated abilities? We have observed it. * another definition? Let's have it.

A. I think Dr. Bob missed the exact point that was opened up with his own wording. When he originally claimed that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits" ... the question glares ... what does 'information' mean in a GENETIC sense? Simply saying "Information is exactly that: something meaningful" is an absolutely useless definition ... it does nothing to clarify what information is in a GENETIC sense! In other words, *how does one measure information as a *GENETIC* quantity?* If you can't explain that, then claiming that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information" is utterly meaningless! It is an attempt to say that evolution "requires" something,… [cont.]
