What signs did you have before leukemia diagnosis?
Q. I would like to know what signs you had prior to a diagnosis. My sister had tests done, no results until Tuesday. Her symptoms are migraines, back pain, bruising, blood in urine and fatigue. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any info would be great.

How many sort of signs in sign language should a two year old know?
Q. My two year old daughter is partially deaf so we've been teaching her to sign using British sign language and Polish sign language - my wife is Polish and doesn't know British sign language only Polish sign language. Isla knows about 50 signs in both languages and can sort of string a sentence together. She does speak a little, not a lot, her mouth moves when she signs but makes no noise.

The Deaf boy I take care of knew at least a few hundred signs by then... then again he is from a Deaf family and has Deaf parents so he's been exposed to sign since birth and started signing at 5 months. Also, he was evaluated for school a few months after his second birthday and was about one year ahead in language/cognitive skills. And since she is learning two languages, don't be surprised if she tends to "code switch" or use both languages. That's completely normal. I checked a couple of websites, and it says that hearing children should have a vocabulary of about 150-300 words. They should also be able to put together 2 word sentences, if not longer. What signs show when somebody is becoming homicidal?
Q. I am best friends with someone who has a friend who was once very close to them. But we're starting to fear that "friend" is a psychopath. They are constantly talking about injuring/killing my best friend, and they also seem to fit the definition of "psychopath" that I found. The killing/injuring part scares me, and I'd like to know what signs to look for so I can know if they're actually going to be homicidal. Seeing how crazy and emotionally unstable they are, I wouldn't put it past her.

What are some signs that a transmission is failing?
Q. Our van is squealing and we took it to a mechanic and he told us it was the transmission. But the transmission has no signs of slipping or anything. So my question is what are some signs that your transmission is failing? Or what could the sqealing be? The put it on that machine that spits out a paper that says this is what is wrong with it.

What signs of vulnerability do criminals look for in women?
Q. It's said criminals (rape and assault) seek out women who appear vulnerable. Though most of these crimes occur b/w two people who know each other, in the case of a woman getting attacked at night (whether by a rapist or a thief) on the street, what signs of vulnerability might the criminal look for? It'd be great to hear from anyone who's studied criminal psychology or even has wanted to attack someone, but any thoughts are appreicated.

A. Very good question. Women with their heads down, are not paying attention to their surroundings. Women who do not make eye contact, are less likely to fight off an attacker. Women with their hair in a pony tail can be easily over taken. Women wearing high hills are also a target more so then one who is wearing tennis shoes. Women with their purse tucked under their arm vs. over their shoulder are an easier target. Women who smile at strangers are less likely to be attacked because, they are confident enough in themselves to make eye contact and actually smile. Q. She's been leaking some yellow sticky looking fluid but no nesting yet. Today I put the other pregnant female with her and they started fighting so I took her out. Please help me with any other labor signs that you can think of thanks.

A. Yellow discharge is NOT normal in a pregnant rabbit. I suspect that she may have pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus, and the yellow fluid may be pus. Please take her to the vet to get checked out, put on antibiotics and spayed. Pyometra is fatal if not treated.

Q. A woman not a girl. I would say 17 and up. What are the signs of attraction. For example starring at you when you aren't paying attention. If she is sitting across from you her feet will be pointed towards you. Things like that I need to know what else are signs of attraction.

What are the signs of marijuana starting to flower?
Q. I have two female plants(unfertilized by male) growing outdoors and am anxiously waiting to observe signs of flowering. Both are about 4- 5 feet tall What are the first signs of flowering? I also heard that it needs 12 hours of sunlight to flower but i grow outside in Florida and cant control the sun. So any suggestions? A. Generally a stock split will happen for one of 2 reasons: 1) the company pays a regular dividend, but doesn't want to pay one this time around. They would then call the stock split a stock dividend, but essentially they are the same thing. 2) If the stock price is above what the company considered their optimal range. A. Generally a stock split will happen for one of 2 reasons: 1) the company pays a regular dividend, but doesn't want to pay one this time around. They would then call the stock split a stock dividend, but essentially they are the same thing. 2) If the stock price is above what the company considered their optimal range. For example, if Company A feels their stock trades best at a price between $15-$45 then they will leave it alone. What signs indicate to a therapist if someone has schizophrenia?
Q. I read that schizophrenia is very difficult to diagnose and sometimes done when no other alternative condition can be diagnosed. What things in particular during a session would be signs to look for when a therapist thinks a patient might have schizophrenia, since during the session the patient's not going to say they are hearing things which I also read is the number one indicator and in some cases the person never hears voices anyways. Thanks for any info!

A. - word salad - being in responsive - they look nervous all the time - they see x rays in a rawshawk test ( i don't know how to spell it) - if anyone in their family has had schizophrenia - anti social - are obsessive over say "the cia, fbi, terrorists, creatures" etcetera are after them...

How are signs of getting your period different from signs of pregnancy?
Q. My girlfriend is getting signs that she usually gets when she is about to get her period. These signs feel exactly the same as when she gets her period. Her period has come late but that might be due to stress and the Emergency Contraceptive pills she took about 5 weeks ago. Are there any special signs that she might be pregnant other than ones similar to getting her period.

What are the signs of good water quality?
Q. Hi, I just want to know what are the signs of good water quality for fish, well in my tank I always do 20% water changes weekly. So I want to know what are the good signs that the water quality is good. (Please dont mention the test readings of ammonia and nitrate whether it is bad or good I just want to know common good signs). PS: At least give 3 causes minimum and 10 maximum please.

A. I'm sorry to really tell you that visually looking at your tank and just because it's clear, doesn't mean your water quality is good. Let me give you an example, and I know you mentioned the nitrogen compounds, but truly, this is your best indicator. You can have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, clear water that doesn't smell, and your fish all alive. Let's say you aren't changing that water at 20% weekly, you may well have nitrates at 60 or 80 ppm in there due to overstocking or overfeeding. You aren't going to see anything directly from this. Exposure to high nitrates effect the growth and immune systems of your fish and leave them weak to any pathogens that could get in your tank. That's just one example.
