Irs wheres my refund? reference code 8002 what does this mean? ?
Q. I am set to receive my refund on Friday but when I check my refund status on line using the "where's my refund" application it tells me to call the irs hotline and give them reference code 8002. What does this mean? Am I being audited? Is my refund being delayed?

A. was it a large refund, my friend had a large amount (9,000) and they gave her a code 8002 and told her they are doing a conduct account anaylisis (whatever that is) on her refund and she may or may not get it mine just got delayed today also, but i wasnt given a code...at least not yet knock on wood!

Q. Today i called them and asked for the auto renew to stop working and the person asked me some questions about my account and at the end told me a code and to write it on paper. He said it was some reference code. What is it for?

A. It's to keep track of your account. They have to keep track of callers somehow! The code is just to make sure they know which caller you were. Good luck.

A. I am kind of in the same boat. I e-filed on Feb. 15, it was accepted Feb 16, and originally the WMR site said that I would receive my deposit on March 1. The first has come and gone and no refund, just error code 1301. From my research, 1301 is a generalized code for a delay in processing that could mean any number of things. I tried talking to the IRS to try to figure out what the hold up may be, and every time you talk to someone new they give you a different reason. The last time I talked to them, they said everyone trying to repay the home buyers credit of 2008 was delayed and put into 1301 because of a glitch in their system and to not expect to see my refund for up to ten weeks. A. Um in the same situation as you. I've been waiting for my refund since 1/17 first it was a dd date of 1/30 and then delayed to 2/24. I've had the same reference codes as you... N0w i'm @ 1221. They irs reps told me that i am to expect a cp05 letter in the mail. So you will probably get one, too. A. If IRS doesn't find anything wrong with they information you filed on your tax return you will receive a refund if one is due to you. It take 6-12 weeks for IRS to finish their review. IRS is making sure no fraud was committed, or if you had dependents making sure no one else claimed them etc.

But long story short; she said she didn't see any reason now that my refund should be held up. told me to check back in 5 days and if no change get a tax advocate. Reference code 300 on Netflix instant play?
Q. I'm trying to access Netflix instant play with my blu ray player, but when I try to connect to it it says "The service cannot be accessed at this time; reference code 300" and when I choose "retry" it does the same thing over and over. How can I fix this and why does Netflix do this all the time? I know, it's almost as if they don't even care.

A. The cp05 means nothing!! They can keep extending the deadline on the letter... 1121 is a p-freeze which means your account has basically been frozen until further review. Many of us went thru this last year and never really got any answers from the IRS. If you call the IRS and ask them if your account is frozen,...they have to tell you yes or no. If it is a freeze, you can expect a very long wait. If you are experiencing a hardship due to the delay you can request a taxpayer advocate to assist you in getting your refund released. This is due to increased enforcement by the criminal investigations unit and technically they don't have to give you a reason for the delay...1121 is a freeze for sure! Q. My DD orignially was 1/30 then changed to 2/3 then changed to processing, reference code 1301. I can't get a straight answer from the IRS, I know that it's basically a generic code, I am just wondering if anyone else is still in the same boat as myself.

Is anyone still getting reference code 1301 when checking WMR site?
Q. My refund was scheduled from 2/3 to stll processing with 1301 reference # and call the IRS but I can't even get through to anyone. Its not even giving a possible refund date anymore. Does anyone know whats up with that?

A. The reason you cannot get through to the IRS is because many others like yourself are wanting their refund yesterday or earlier. The present economic situation has caused many people to file earlier than usual which is delaying the processing times normally expected at this time of year. Patience, my friend, patience.
