How do you find the legal owners of a business in NY?
Q. I know that it is public record and there is some way to research and find the legal owner of a business. What I need is to know the steps to take and where to find this information. It doesn't cost money, does it, since it's public record? Can someone walk me through the process or give me a suggestion where I can start?

Legal suggestion appartment lease, in the state of PA...?
Q. I left the appartment I was renting at the end of my lease, I cleaned the house as promised, steamed carpets, walls, appliances... It took me 2 whole days to finish. When I left the house all you could smell was bleach and pine sol. My point it was extra/ super clean... I made a video of the house to prove it to. I received a letter saying that he's not returning my deposit because he had to hire someone to clean again for 14 hr. Plus he wanted to redo the carpets AGAIN because he wasn't happy with my washing. And he had to repaint because he said that the colors are dull compared to what he gave me a year ago. He found spots left on the wall , left from the desk against the wall. He wrote on the bottom of the page that he's not charging… [cont.]

A. You took a video? Very smart. Just show him the video. If he still will not return the deposit, take him to small claims court. They are usually sympathetic to tenants anyway and because you have documentation you should prevail. Just let him know that you intend to take him to small claims court since you have documented the condition of the unit. Normal wear and tear is expected and any landlord could expect to have to touch up paint and clean the carpet between tenants. And he can't charge you for the time he personally spent - that is part of being a landlord. Just keep all your paperwork and documentation.

Today I got a call at work telling me the lady that was boarding my horse gave him away. Any legal suggestion
Q. Thanks I wanted to hear what most one you would do. I did call the police, I went to the sherrif and the DA's office. FYI... I had to have the police chief accompany to remove my other horse from her"care". Otherwise, she could have me arrested for trespassing (YES! Even with a boarding contact) and I now have to file a civil suit (against her and the receiver of the horse) to recover the horse she gave away. how to get obtain legal status after living in US 14 years?
Q. A friend came to USA about 13 or 14 years ago with his parents and siblings. At the time, he was only 10 years old didnt know anything about the whole immigration thing. He finally found out that he was actually an 'illegal immigrant' when he started college and tried to apply for financial aid and was denied. Apparently, his parents were telling him that he was a US citizen the day they moved to the country. He is working full time job to keep up with his college tuition, but needs help on how to get obtain legal status. Anyone has any suggestion??

URGENT Legal suggestion regarding warrenty of a product?
Q. I have a laptop and one of its part need to be replaced within the warrenty. I have done all the formalities and I am right now waiting for the part to arrive for nearly 2 and a half month. The laptop company has never contacted me regarding this. and whenever I call them, all I Hear is that the company has ceased making that particular model and so the part will take 2-3 more days to come... although 'those' 2-3 days never came. by the way that company is lenovo. hate it now. my question is that what are the legal rights a customer has in this kind of situations. can a company not provide any assistance even though it has taken money for that... i.e. if they had ceased making the product why did they had me extend the warrenty? shouldn't… [cont.]

Q. My sister is 17 and i want to give her a knife to cary in her glove box for protection, but i don't know if it is legal. Any suggestions? thanks molky, but i'm on my school laptop at the moment, so sites catagorized under "weapons" get blocked. when im on christmas break. i love my school.

HI am 22 and my gf is 17 we plan to have a baby. Is it legal of me to have sex with her?
Q. I am NY resident and she is a california resident. legal age of consent in NY is 17 and in CA is 18 . am confused that which does apply to our case ?? If it is not legal then which state should we shift to to have a baby. We are currently in New York and am asking this beacuse her father doesnt want that to happen and he can sue me please help me guys i really need a genuine legal suggestion .
