If Christine O'Donnell has "classified information" regarding a Chinese takeover of the US, is that legal?
Q. I don't want to bring her particular politics into this, I'm just wondering if it's at all problematic if she actually has classified info? Like Christine O'Donnell, I don't have a top secret clearance. Like Ms O'Donnell, I've never been in a job that requires a top secret clearance. So, if I somehow made it on national tv and stated that I did, in fact, have classified information, would a criminal investigation be warranted? Wouldn't the government be curious about how I came by this top secret info, where/who/how it leaked, and what other secret info might have leaked? Peachy - I'm not "digging", nor am I trying to pass any judgment on Ms. O'Donnell's statement that she is privy to classified info regarding China's plans to… [cont.]

A. The woman is a compulsive lair. O Donnell claimed she went bankrupt because she was defending somebody in a legal case but he does not have a law degree and she never practice law. 2006 she said he was privy to classified information because she worked with a nonprofit groups but she does not have a security clearance. 2008 She said her opponents broke into her home/campaign office but she never called the police.

Why "other information" part of MSDS(Material Safety Data sheet) of raw material mention like this?
Q. Most of time when we consider the MSDS (Material Safety data Sheet) of some product, we give all product information relavent to product. But finally under " others information" catagary we can see following statement "This Informations are correct & accurate according to our knowledge , But we don't take any guaranty or Responsibility regarding above information & damages regarding use of such article" So please let me know why it is mention such a way? Is there any legal matters for above?

A. well with raw materials there will always be Variables and they may not always match exactly with the Safety Sheet. It is a legal issue, basically they're saying "This is as correct as it can possibly be, but there may be some discrepancies"

"Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information"?
Q. I am signing all the paperwork for a new job in a research group and one of them is a "Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information", what would this be about? If it were not in legal mumbo-jumbo it may be more apparant, but it just keeps reffering to "the information" and then giving rediculously all-inclusive definitions. What information are they likely to be trying to protect? It's seperate to the usual confidentiality agreement (the gist of which is that they keep all the IP). I probably don't have any room to negotiate, and i wouldn't turn the job down based on it. I just want an idea of what i am signing, for what rules they wil expect me to follow. I know this is not offical legal advice, i'll… [cont.]

How to delete "has updated Basics information" from yahoo messenger status message?
Q. This message appears on my YM status with a link that takes people to my yahoo profile page. Ironically, I updated my profile to try to make it more private. I've already unticked the "Share my updates" box in the "manage updates" page yet the link and status message that I've updated my basic information still remains on my messenger. It's been like this for several days now. Can anyone help?

why do creationists stick to the "law of conservation of information" as a problem to the theory of evolution?
Q. in science, information is loosely defined as "that which distinguishes one thing from another" and it's associated with causality (the action of one part of the system on another). So, having this in mind, it is true that information cannot be created or destroyed, but let's review what information means to science: if it is associated with causality, then the way of transmitting information between two systems or two parts of a system would be by an interaction. Interactions in physics mean forces, and if you apply a force on something, you can accelerate it, you can deform it, you can cause a chemical or nuclear reaction, you can tap potential energy... so what is information then? it's energy! information is just a form of… [cont.]

A. if you can have enough info, do you think that you could predict the future? or is Quantum fluctuations able to thwart this? if there is unpredictability at the subatomic level then it should translate to higher systems, which is why you do not see a Perfect symmetrical crystal when your study the universe as a whole, or do you? What is that thou hast to tell me? A. ~~It can be a variety of reasons. Your accounts age, rating, what bank the check you deposited was drawn on, etc. Banks can put holds at their discretion, a rep or teller may or may not be able to tell you. They aren't always able to see the info either.~~

A. It is intended to alert you whenever there is both encrypted and non-encrypted displays on a webpage; in the event you were under the impression it was completely 'private'. It may merely be a case of some 3rd party advertising (or other "asset") that is not encrypted, and usually does not mean there is a serious problem. To help circumvent these issues in the future, make the following changes: internet explorer: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic...'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies' & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'. Firefox: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings..."> Check 'Accept Cookies from sites' [cont.]

How to write in the "additional information" section for scholarships?
Q. The scholarship search I'm doing says "List additional information that could help you earn more scholarships or get into a university. Think community service and any other participation in clubs or activities (maximum 2000 characters)." I know what I'm supposed to write but how am I supposed to format it? Like, a list or just paragraphs?
Asked by K(: - Sat Nov 26 18:22:54 2011 - Financial Aid - 1 Answers - Comments

A. If it says to "List" them, then go ahead and use a list format. You can add extra information beside each point, such as hours of service, skills learned or used, duties performed, etc... Be sure to not be shy and go ahead and share everything that you have done to help others. Think hard about all the activities you have been involved in like school clubs, sports, tutoring, helping teachers, church, community events, and more. Good luck! :)

How do creationists define "information" in the context of evolution?
Q. Posted a few minutes ago: "Evolution (now called macro evolution) cannot be observed. It requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits, something that we've never seen." How do they define "information" in this context? Is it... * increased genetic variety in a population? We have observed it. * increased genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetically-regulated abilities? We have observed it. * another definition? Let's have it.

A. I think Dr. Bob missed the exact point that was opened up with his own wording. When he originally claimed that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits" ... the question glares ... what does 'information' mean in a GENETIC sense? Simply saying "Information is exactly that: something meaningful" is an absolutely useless definition ... it does nothing to clarify what information is in a GENETIC sense! In other words, *how does one measure information as a *GENETIC* quantity?* If you can't explain that, then claiming that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information" is utterly meaningless! It is an attempt to say that evolution "requires" something,… [cont.]

What does "case is closed, pending further information" in a police log mean?
Q. Can the perpetrator still be prosecuted? What does it mean. The case had been open, but was then updated and announced to be "closed, pending further information."
Asked by Lusitania C - Wed Feb 25 23:34:03 2009 - Law & Ethics - 2 Answers - Comments

A. It means essentially "with what information we have now, we just don't have a clue whodunnit." The case has stagnated to the point that, absent some new information, the case authority believes there is no way to proceed, so it is shelved until or unless they get some kind of a break.

A. If you checked today, I believe they were having trouble with the website. You can call this number 1-800-829-1954 with your information and it should be up to date. Not to scare you, but the year before last, I received a similar message and it turns out that I had transposed a number on one of my kids SS #. I called and was able to fix the problem quickly and had my return within that week.
