If Christine O'Donnell has "classified information" regarding a Chinese takeover of the US, is that legal?
Q. I don't want to bring her particular politics into this, I'm just wondering if it's at all problematic if she actually has classified info? Like Christine O'Donnell, I don't have a top secret clearance. Like Ms O'Donnell, I've never been in a job that requires a top secret clearance. So, if I somehow made it on national tv and stated that I did, in fact, have classified information, would a criminal investigation be warranted? Wouldn't the government be curious about how I came by this top secret info, where/who/how it leaked, and what other secret info might have leaked? Peachy - I'm not "digging", nor am I trying to pass any judgment on Ms. O'Donnell's statement that she is privy to classified info regarding China's plans to… [cont.]

A. The woman is a compulsive lair. O Donnell claimed she went bankrupt because she was defending somebody in a legal case but he does not have a law degree and she never practice law. 2006 she said he was privy to classified information because she worked with a nonprofit groups but she does not have a security clearance. 2008 She said her opponents broke into her home/campaign office but she never called the police.

The IRS refund site was listing my return as being processed. Now it has "no information" What happened?
Q. I E-filed my return on 1/22/08. It was accepted the same day and the next day my refund status was "being processed" and that I should receive my refund by Feb 5, 2008, as a direct deposit. Now the refund status website has "no information" about my return. What happened? Does that mean my return has a problem?

A. If you checked today, I believe they were having trouble with the website. You can call this number 1-800-829-1954 with your information and it should be up to date. Not to scare you, but the year before last, I received a similar message and it turns out that I had transposed a number on one of my kids SS #. I called and was able to fix the problem quickly and had my return within that week.

Why "other information" part of MSDS(Material Safety Data sheet) of raw material mention like this?
Q. Most of time when we consider the MSDS (Material Safety data Sheet) of some product, we give all product information relavent to product. But finally under " others information" catagary we can see following statement "This Informations are correct & accurate according to our knowledge , But we don't take any guaranty or Responsibility regarding above information & damages regarding use of such article" So please let me know why it is mention such a way? Is there any legal matters for above?

A. well with raw materials there will always be Variables and they may not always match exactly with the Safety Sheet. It is a legal issue, basically they're saying "This is as correct as it can possibly be, but there may be some discrepancies"

What does it mean when Transunion shows dispute results as "New Information"?
Q. I received my credit report dispute results from Transunion (FINALLY), but I was baffled to see that some of the dispute results read "new information" even though there was nothing clarified to support this "new information" claim? What does it mean?
Asked by - Sat Aug 15 13:31:00 2009 - Credit - 1 Answers - Comments
A. It means they submitted the information to the creditor which in turn answered the dispute and verified that the information was correct or they are admitting that there was something wrong and are submitting "new information" that accurately updates the account information. Just go to the above site and call Transunion for an explanation.

"Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information"?
Q. I am signing all the paperwork for a new job in a research group and one of them is a "Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information", what would this be about? If it were not in legal mumbo-jumbo it may be more apparant, but it just keeps reffering to "the information" and then giving rediculously all-inclusive definitions. What information are they likely to be trying to protect? It's seperate to the usual confidentiality agreement (the gist of which is that they keep all the IP). I probably don't have any room to negotiate, and i wouldn't turn the job down based on it. I just want an idea of what i am signing, for what rules they wil expect me to follow. How to get rid of "RECYCLER" and "System volume information" files in windows XP?
Q. My hard disk recently crashed. Fortunately i had backed up everything into an external drive. I have now got back all the files from the external into my new hard disk. However, there are two folders called recycler and System volume information. They appear in half shade and i cannot delete them. I get the message "acces denied" and advises me to see if the disk is wrtie protected. How can i get rid of these files? I use windows XP . regarding the "system volume information" , properties show: size of the folder is 0 bytes and contains 0 files i suspect that these files are from my previous installation of windows.

A. You cannot delete them, they are critical Windows system folders. You can, however, hide them. Head to: Control Panel>Folder Options>View (tab)>...and select 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended)'>Click 'Apply' & they're gone! OK, not gone, but hidden from view as you can't do much else with them.

A. ~~It can be a variety of reasons. Your accounts age, rating, what bank the check you deposited was drawn on, etc. Banks can put holds at their discretion, a rep or teller may or may not be able to tell you. They aren't always able to see the info either.~~

Q. When I go to my gmail account via firefox, a pop up that says "You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. A. It is intended to alert you whenever there is both encrypted and non-encrypted displays on a webpage; in the event you were under the impression it was completely 'private'. It may merely be a case of some 3rd party advertising (or other "asset") that is not encrypted, and usually does not mean there is a serious problem. To help circumvent these issues in the future, make the following changes: internet explorer: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic...'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies' & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'. Firefox: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings..."> Check 'Accept Cookies from sites' [cont.]

Has anyone who filed form 8839 been told by the IRS they will be requesting "more information"?
Q. The IRS "Where's my Refund?" tool was telling us we should be expecting our refund by April 5. Today it says they will be sending us something in the mail to request more information. Did anyone else's refund status on the IRS website change back to "cannot provide information?"?
Q. I thought that whole rebate thing hadn't even been configured yet Any forms that cannot be processed until Feb 11th would have resulted in your return being denied. It doesn't leave me a number to call. I checked it this morning and now it is back to saying the 29th...whew! For anyone out there who cares, I was checking between 9pm and 11pm until I went to bed and it wouldn't give me any info. That must be right in the middle of their update period.

How to move "System Volume Information" directory to another partition technically (without any side-effect)?
Q. To increase my HDD speed I regularly run defragmenter and to reduce fragmentation on my system partition I've moved all system folders to other partitions except \System Volume Information\ which is the only source of fragmentation on my system partition. Is here anyone who knows "How to move "System Volume Information" directory to another partition technically (without any side-effect)?
Asked by sh_mpa - Wed Dec 9 10:06:08 2009 - Other - Computers - 3 Answers - Comments
A. System Volume Information cannot be defragmented and there is no need or reason to do so, it contains restore points, the fact it is fragmented means nothing and has no effect on performance period. The files in it are only used if you run system restore. It is nothing to be concerned about. Also the physical location of System Volume Information is towards the inner part of your drive, away from the rest of your OS and program files. I don't know of a way to move it, but I don't see any reason to need to do so.

How do they define "information" in this context? Is it... * increased genetic variety in a population? We have observed it. * increased genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetically-regulated abilities? We have observed it. * another definition? Let's have it.

A. I think Dr. Bob missed the exact point that was opened up with his own wording. When he originally claimed that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits" ... the question glares ... what does 'information' mean in a GENETIC sense? Simply saying "Information is exactly that: something meaningful" is an absolutely useless definition ... it does nothing to clarify what information is in a GENETIC sense! In other words, *how does one measure information as a *GENETIC* quantity?* If you can't explain that, then claiming that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information" is utterly meaningless! It is an attempt to say that evolution "requires" something,… [cont.]

why do creationists stick to the "law of conservation of information" as a problem to the theory of evolution?
Q. in science, information is loosely defined as "that which distinguishes one thing from another" and it's associated with causality (the action of one part of the system on another). So, having this in mind, it is true that information cannot be created or destroyed, but let's review what information means to science: if it is associated with causality, then the way of transmitting information between two systems or two parts of a system would be by an interaction. Interactions in physics mean forces, and if you apply a force on something, you can accelerate it, you can deform it, you can cause a chemical or nuclear reaction, you can tap potential energy... so what is information then? it's energy! information is just a form of… [cont.]

A. if you can have enough info, do you think that you could predict the future? or is Quantum fluctuations able to thwart this? if there is unpredictability at the subatomic level then it should translate to higher systems, which is why you do not see a Perfect symmetrical crystal when your study the universe as a whole, or do you? What is that thou hast to tell me? ACT 23:20 And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly. ACT 23:21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have… [cont.]
