irs delay code 1301 for 2010 returns?
Q. Has anyone received their 2010 refund after getting code 1301? My refund date went from 03/04/2011, 03/08/2011 to 03/12/2011 to code 1301 I spoke to the IRS and they said it's a code 1301 because of the new tax laws. Thanks In Advance!

I got the IRS code 1201 when will i get my money?
Q. I was suppose to get money direct deposit and when I check where is my refund it said it was in a delay processing and code 1201. When will I get my money? I got my money and it just took an extra 2 weeks from when I was originally suppose to get it!

A. 1201 does NOT necessarily mean you are being audited, nor does it mean you owe tax returns from previous years, while both of these MAY be happening, code 1201 just means that your tax return has been "pulled" from the computer processing side and an actual human being is hand reviewing your return. I will give you a great example, I owed taxes from 2008. I efiled my return and it was accepted on 2/1/10. On the WMR page, I was told my refund would be deposited on 2/12, then the following week 2/19, then on the 18th I was hit with code 1201, delay in processing your return. I called the 19th and I was told to give the IRS "3 weeks" (which seems to be their standard answer) as my refund was "frozen" as the… [cont.]

Am I the only one with a 2/6 refund deposit changed to a 1301 delay code for 2 weeks still waiting?
Q. I have called IRS several times and I am told that the return is in error resolution department but there is no reason listed but there have been no adjustments made to my expected refund amount. There is also no deposit date as of 2/23. Please share similar stories.

A. They update Tuesday Midnight. Wednesdays you will see a change if there will be one. I had a DD of 2/17. Today it was changed to I should have my refund by 3/10. On that note, I will probably be getting another update on Wednesday morning on 3/11 telling me a different reason because from what I understand the refunds are not direct deposited on any days but Friday.

In my husband's ERB it states: delay separation code: U. Can't find it's meaning anywhere. What does it mean?
Q. In his ERB it reads: AEA/Dt U/201008. I have reviewed the latest of AR 614 200 and I am not seeing the U code! What does this mean? **More info** He is currently deployed && this info changed as of 01/15/2009. Thats the only reason I ask. Ok I would relax...I looked at my husbands and his Dt 6/201008...I would assume the 201008 is the month and year I know my husband just re-enlisted...and it is Delay Separation Reason not code...looked some more and came up with AEA means Army Enterprise Architecture and according to the site I found U means urgency factor...I am giving you the link but I have no idea what either one of those mean either but at least now you have a little more information...I hope I helped a little bit... I hope you look at this again...AEA means Assignment Eligibility and Availability and his code is U which means Enlistment Commitment and the 201008 is when it expires...I found all this info on ASK under the PDL tab

A. Actually, a 1201 Reference Code indicates the following according to the IRS manual: 1201 All other conditions not covered by a status code conduct account analysis. Essentially someone will need to take a look at your return. The other code many are seeing today is a 1301 which indicates the return has been in processing for longer than 21 days. A. be patient! everyone is going through the same thing. IRS is just having to review the tax returns before releasing any refunds, due to the dishonest taxpayers that are trying to claim the first time home buyer credit, recovery rebate credit, EIC when they aren't entitle, claiming dependents that are already claimed. So relax, you will get your refund. The honest taxpayers are the ones that suffer because of the dishonest.

I filed Jan 16th and suppose to receive my refund 30,4th,then I got a delay 1121 received a cp05 it took about 2 weeks all it said theres a delay wait 3 weeks from the date on the letter which was the 16th of Feb. Ok after I received this letter I called the 18th and they said review was over.went to web site code 1201 meaning d.d. Well, it never came 2 days later back to 1121 said I was pulled back in review due to homebuyer credit... Now I sit and wait and wonder.. Hope this helped shed some light, good luck to you...

A. In that document search AEA code and you will get more information. Page 25 reads --- Code S - Soldiers being reassigned or deleted from AI status for compassionate reasons. The termination date will be when the problem is resolved or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

Q. Since becoming self-employed four years ago, our refund is always delayed a number of weeks with the 1201 code as a reason. The first year it happened, we called and were told that the delay was because we filed a joint return, but I'd paid the estimated tax payments using just my social security number. So I switched to both SS numbers for the next year and again a delay. This time the agent said it was because we'd paid the estimated taxes under both SS instead of just mine. So last year, I paid the estimated taxes under my SS again and again was delayed. Most of the time efile is for free in most software, I bought turbotax and got efile for free, but as days went by I didnt get my refund on the 24th like I was supposed to, so I called IRS and they told me the same thing, that there was some sort of delay in their system, they didnt give me much detail but ive heard a lot of people having their refunds delayed, its sad that at such time the way the economy is, that we cant access our funds when we need it the most, when the IRS needs people to pay they charge penalties/fees, shouldnt we be getting interest on all these delays???

A. I have the same code, the guy told me he don't know what it was, He has been at work for 2 hours and had 10 calls of the same code. I think there just using the code because they are delayed. He told me it should be there by next Friday, Why do you pay extra to e-file? Ugh... But what I think is funny when you owe the IRS money they can charge us Interests & Penalties, So does that give us the right to charge them? A. Advantage: You can stop your program long enough to allow another task to complete then continue running your program. Disadvantage: If not coded properly you could end up with a situation where your program is stuck waiting for something that will never happen. You can also cause your UI to lock up if not coded properly.
