If Christine O'Donnell has "classified information" regarding a Chinese takeover of the US, is that legal?
Q. I don't want to bring her particular politics into this, I'm just wondering if it's at all problematic if she actually has classified info? Like Christine O'Donnell, I don't have a top secret clearance. Like Ms O'Donnell, I've never been in a job that requires a top secret clearance. So, if I somehow made it on national tv and stated that I did, in fact, have classified information, would a criminal investigation be warranted? Wouldn't the government be curious about how I came by this top secret info, where/who/how it leaked, and what other secret info might have leaked? Peachy - I'm not "digging", nor am I trying to pass any judgment on Ms. O'Donnell's statement that she is privy to classified info regarding China's plans to… [cont.]

A. The woman is a compulsive lair. O Donnell claimed she went bankrupt because she was defending somebody in a legal case but he does not have a law degree and she never practice law. 2006 she said he was privy to classified information because she worked with a nonprofit groups but she does not have a security clearance. 2008 She said her opponents broke into her home/campaign office but she never called the police.

What does it mean when Transunion shows dispute results as "New Information"?
Q. I received my credit report dispute results from Transunion (FINALLY), but I was baffled to see that some of the dispute results read "new information" even though there was nothing clarified to support this "new information" claim? What does it mean?
Asked by - Sat Aug 15 13:31:00 2009 - Credit - 1 Answers - Comments
A. It means they submitted the information to the creditor which in turn answered the dispute and verified that the information was correct or they are admitting that there was something wrong and are submitting "new information" that accurately updates the account information. Just go to the above site and call Transunion for an explanation.

"Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information"?
Q. I am signing all the paperwork for a new job in a research group and one of them is a "Deed of non-disclosure in relation to personal information", what would this be about? If it were not in legal mumbo-jumbo it may be more apparant, but it just keeps reffering to "the information" and then giving rediculously all-inclusive definitions. What information are they likely to be trying to protect? It's seperate to the usual confidentiality agreement (the gist of which is that they keep all the IP). I probably don't have any room to negotiate, and i wouldn't turn the job down based on it. I just want an idea of what i am signing, for what rules they wil expect me to follow. I know this is not offical legal advice, i'll… [cont.]

Why "other information" part of MSDS(Material Safety Data sheet) of raw material mention like this?
Q. Most of time when we consider the MSDS (Material Safety data Sheet) of some product, we give all product information relavent to product. But finally under " others information" catagary we can see following statement "This Informations are correct & accurate according to our knowledge , But we don't take any guaranty or Responsibility regarding above information & damages regarding use of such article" So please let me know why it is mention such a way? Is there any legal matters for above?

A. well with raw materials there will always be Variables and they may not always match exactly with the Safety Sheet. It is a legal issue, basically they're saying "This is as correct as it can possibly be, but there may be some discrepancies"

How do creationists define "information" in the context of evolution?
Q. Posted a few minutes ago: "Evolution (now called macro evolution) cannot be observed. It requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits, something that we've never seen." How do they define "information" in this context? Is it... * increased genetic variety in a population? We have observed it. * increased genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetic material? We have observed it. * novel genetically-regulated abilities? We have observed it. * another definition? Let's have it.

A. I think Dr. Bob missed the exact point that was opened up with his own wording. When he originally claimed that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information that results in new traits" ... the question glares ... what does 'information' mean in a GENETIC sense? Simply saying "Information is exactly that: something meaningful" is an absolutely useless definition ... it does nothing to clarify what information is in a GENETIC sense! In other words, *how does one measure information as a *GENETIC* quantity?* If you can't explain that, then claiming that evolution "requires the addition of genetic information" is utterly meaningless! It is an attempt to say that evolution "requires" something,… [cont.]

Can I get into trouble answering questions on this site if I unknowingly give "adult information" to a minor?
Q. Let's just say somebody asks a question about something that is only legal for adults. I answer the question because I'm an adult and I know the answer. Then it turns out to be a kid who takes that information and does something wrong. Can I be prosecuted? Do I have to be weary like that or does Yahoo Answers recognize that it is their job to avoid the child endangerment?

A question for creation scientists: how do you define "new information" in the context of DNA?
Q. This claim was posted a few minutes ago: "Mutations are random mistakes which demonstrably do not add useful information to the DNA molecule." What is your definition of "new information" in this context? * increased genetic variety in a population? * increased genetic material? * novel genetic material? * novel genetically-regulated abilities? * a different definition? Mr. Stake, it seems the question you were trying to answer is not the same question I asked.

Some felt that writing was a way to stunt the mind (instead of actually knowing the information). Plenty of Greek philosophers complained that too many philosophical amateurs would "recite" information as apposed to actually knowing/understanding it. And seeing as how the Greeks were NOT feminized, I think I just debunked your theory. However, there are two folders called recycler and System volume information. They appear in half shade and i cannot delete them. I get the message "acces denied" and advises me to see if the disk is wrtie protected. How can i get rid of these files? I use windows XP . regarding the "system volume information" , properties show: size of the folder is 0 bytes and contains 0 files i suspect that these files are from my previous installation of windows.

A. You cannot delete them, they are critical Windows system folders. You can, however, hide them. Head to: Control Panel>Folder Options>View (tab)>...and select 'Hide protected operating system files (recommended)'>Click 'Apply' & they're gone! OK, not gone, but hidden from view as you can't do much else with them.

I list the poems that I am sending by their titles. Then I tell them whether or not the poems are under consideration anywhere else. If I've read their magazine (you really should know where you are sending your work and why) then I may mention a specific poem or two that I really liked so that they know that I am familiar with their magazine and not B.Sing them. why do creationists stick to the "law of conservation of information" as a problem to the theory of evolution?
Q. in science, information is loosely defined as "that which distinguishes one thing from another" and it's associated with causality (the action of one part of the system on another). So, having this in mind, it is true that information cannot be created or destroyed, but let's review what information means to science: if it is associated with causality, then the way of transmitting information between two systems or two parts of a system would be by an interaction. Interactions in physics mean forces, and if you apply a force on something, you can accelerate it, you can deform it, you can cause a chemical or nuclear reaction, you can tap potential energy... so what is information then? it's energy! information is just a form of… [cont.]

What does "case is closed, pending further information" in a police log mean?
Q. Can the perpetrator still be prosecuted? What does it mean. The case had been open, but was then updated and announced to be "closed, pending further information."
Asked by Lusitania C - Wed Feb 25 23:34:03 2009 - Law & Ethics - 2 Answers - Comments
A. It means essentially "with what information we have now, we just don't have a clue whodunnit." The case has stagnated to the point that, absent some new information, the case authority believes there is no way to proceed, so it is shelved until or unless they get some kind of a break.

A. It means essentially "with what information we have now, we just don't have a clue whodunnit." The case has stagnated to the point that, absent some new information, the case authority believes there is no way to proceed, so it is shelved until or unless they get some kind of a break.

On the new Facebook profile, is there a way to keep some of your "basic information" from appearing?
Q. I don't want to delete the information entirely, I just don't want it to appear in the block of information below my name. Before, on the old profile, you had the "basic information" box on your Wall tab, and you could include any or all of your basic information from the section on your Info tab. Before, it was things like Hometown, religion, politics, relationship status, birthday. I had only my politics and birthday shown in that box, but on my info page, I had all of it. Does that ability still exist on the new profile? Specifically, I'm trying to hide my employment information, my current city, and my relationship status. I don't want to delete these things from my profile entirely, I just want it to not be at the very top… [cont.]

What is this pop up about "encrypted pages that contain some unencrypted information"?
Q. When I go to my gmail account via firefox, a pop up that says "You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter in this page could easily be read by a third party." What is this all about and what should I do about it? Thanks so much for your answers.

A. It is intended to alert you whenever there is both encrypted and non-encrypted displays on a webpage; in the event you were under the impression it was completely 'private'. It may merely be a case of some 3rd party advertising (or other "asset") that is not encrypted, and usually does not mean there is a serious problem. To help circumvent these issues in the future, make the following changes: internet explorer: Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check 'Override automatic...'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies' & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'. Firefox: Tools> Options> Privacy> top drop menu set to "Firefox will use custom settings..."> Check 'Accept Cookies from sites' [cont.]

How to write in the "additional information" section for scholarships?
Q. The scholarship search I'm doing says "List additional information that could help you earn more scholarships or get into a university. Think community service and any other participation in clubs or activities (maximum 2000 characters)." I know what I'm supposed to write but how am I supposed to format it? Like, a list or just paragraphs?

A. If it says to "List" them, then go ahead and use a list format. You can add extra information beside each point, such as hours of service, skills learned or used, duties performed, etc... Be sure to not be shy and go ahead and share everything that you have done to help others. Think hard about all the activities you have been involved in like school clubs, sports, tutoring, helping teachers, church, community events, and more. Good luck! :)

Information "Old Areoplanes and New Areoplanes"?
Q. Can you tell me about the "old aeroplanes" and "new aeroplanes"? Please. And show me two pictures of old areoplanes and new areoplanes. ( ^ _ ^ ) Please and thank you.

A. This could be done by a simple search on the internet for "History of Flight". I think the reason there hasn't been too many answers is because to go into details would take hours to type out. The history of flight is only 100 years and you will find several websites that will give you information from the Wright Flyer, to the newer military composites and commercial composites.

Applied for credit card online; they need "additional information." What does this mean?
Q. I applied for a Capitol One card online, the next screen said that I'd receive something in the mail in seven to ten days. Since it didn't get approved right then, does this mean it was declined? If not, specifically what "additional information" are they going to be seeking out?

A. It can depend. Sometimes they mail you information as a means of fraud protection. Other times they need clarification on part of the information you gave them ( employer, current debts, etc). It can really depend.
