However, a judge is free to consider fault in the breakup of a marriage, as well as many other factors, in the equitable division of community property. The division of community property is very much something that is determined on a case-by-case basis. How abandonment may affect the division of property in your situation may be completely different from someone else. Your lawyer will be in the best position to give you guided advice about your particular situation.

I take it this was a timeshare or a car? schedule d if you owned it for more than a year, long term. description (use 1099-A) date acquired (your memory) date sold (use 1099-A) sales price $7500 (from lessor of outstanding debt/fmv) cost or other basis $8900 (or whatever you paid) gain/loss 0 (7500-8900, but you can't go below zero since personal assets are not deductible). Be sure that 10D (a subtotal field) is filled in.

A. Only God knows if you are truly committed or not, token does not come into it (do you mean money on the offering plate?). If you choose to walk away from God, that's your choice, but He will never walk away from you. Reckless abandonment is therefore far worse.

A. The 1099-A is a "sale." It needs to be reported on your tax return. You probably have a non-deductible loss from this. When you get the 1099-C, then you will deal with cancelled debt.

A. The only way to keep property out of bankruptcy would be to pay it off in full. However, since you already filed bankruptcy, it is too late. The court would want the money for the payoff of that property to be distributed properly among creditors. Talk to your bankruptcy attorney. However, you have probably lost that property.

A. I actually just went through this in the state of NY and Sexual Abandonment is grounds for divorce in NY. Is the divorce going to be something you both want... if so you can do it your self without an attorney just go to the court house and ask for a no contest divorce packet... otherwise go directly to an attorney and start the proceedings... I actually did my divorce on the same grounds it took a few years but it is not hard to do... good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

Is there any connection between tattoos and abandonment issues?
Q. I know someone who seems to have a tattoo addiction , they continually want more and more tattoos and never seem satisfied, they also have severe abandonment issues from when they were a child. Their parents divorced and they lived with there mother who would frequently leave them alone for days and even weeks at a time. I was reading something about addictions which stated that people who had them saw some sort of fulfillment in something they were lacking, in this case permanence. A. If you are talking about a child abandonment police report, there is never a charge to file a police report, it's a crime. If you are talking about something involving an attorney that may be where the $350 comes in. But not for a police report.
