A. You can't file abandonment charges yet. It has not been long enough. You can have him arrested however, for not paying child support!

What is a cool club name for a club about preventing infant abandonment?

Q. I have 2 boys and they have separate dad's. My oldest is 8 and the youngest is 5. My oldest son's dad lives in Maine and has not seen him for years! He barely pays child support,when he pays it. My youngest son's dad lives in the same city and state as I do and only a few blocks away. He has not seen him in a consecutive year and this is not the first consecutive year this has happened. A. Go to your local library or ask legal aid what the statute is in KY. In Illinois it is 2 years but back home in Massachusettts it is 1 year so as you can see it varies from state to state. You might wanna check out megalaw.com & look up your state's statutes; that's where the answers are !!! If you can read a Bible, you can read law books (LOL). A ballpark guess would be abandonment won't come into play BUT you can shoot for NEGLECT (no support, visitation, etc.). Custody? A. Why don't you just call your friend and honestly ask him if he wants that dog. You may need to offer to take it back and find a better home for it if you can't keep it. Next time please make sure the person you give it to really wants a dog, it doesn't sound like your friend does.

A. You might find a number of examples you can use on the web by googling the terms. Or, is it possible to go buy another storage place in the area and ask if you can see a copy of theirs? It isn't really something that would give them a competetive advantage so they shouldn't have a problem sharing it with you. Just some thoughts.

A. If you are talking about a child abandonment police report, there is never a charge to file a police report, it's a crime. If you are talking about something involving an attorney that may be where the $350 comes in. But not for a police report.

A. Once you agreed to let them out of the lease, you gave up any right to future rent monies. Game over on that point. However, you should still be able to recover the cost of damage to the property. You did get a security deposit, didn't you? If the damages are more than the security deposit, you could always sue them, but it's generally an exercise in futility. Even if you win, recovering the money will be difficult, as such people move often and don't have much. You may have to chalk this up to a life lesson.

A. I actually just went through this in the state of NY and Sexual Abandonment is grounds for divorce in NY. Is the divorce going to be something you both want... if so you can do it your self without an attorney just go to the court house and ask for a no contest divorce packet... otherwise go directly to an attorney and start the proceedings... I actually did my divorce on the same grounds it took a few years but it is not hard to do... good luck and I hope it all works out for you.

A. "A reasonable period". If you've got 12 weeks of family leave, and you're supposed to show up on a specific Monday on the 13th week and don't show up at 9am, the boss can't consider you to have abandoned your job. If you don't come in all day, though, and don't call, he can. If, for example, you've asked for and been granted 6 weeks of leave, you can't just not show up on the 7th week and not expect to be fired because you *could of* asked for 12 weeks not 6. Richard
